The sound used in this part of the song comes from an organ called a Hammond B3, which is the coolest rock/blues/jazz/gospel organ available. The best ones were made in the 1950s and 1960s and used this big speaker cabinet called a Leslie Cabinet. The Leslie has 2 speakers that rotate and the speed of the rotation can be manipulated by the organist. This effect is 100% ear candy and makes any rock band sound 1000% times cooler!
